Our editorial take on this card
What works
Genuinely lifetime free: ₹0 joining and ₹0 annual fee with no spend-based waiver to chase: most zero-forex cards make you clear a threshold or lock a deposit. The standout edge is 0% forex markup on all international transactions, which beats IDFC FIRST Wealth (1.5%) and OneCard Metal (1.0%) and saves roughly ₹3,500 on every ₹1,00,000 of foreign spend versus a typical 3.5% card. Unlimited domestic airport lounge access is uncapped: you just need ₹20,000 of spend in the preceding month to unlock it. The base reward is a real ~2% on Visa spends (10 Scapia Coins per ₹100, each coin worth ₹0.20) with no monthly cap, which is solid for a free card and redeems instantly for flights, hotels and buses in the Scapia app.
The headline is misleading: '10% reward' means 10 Scapia Coins per ₹100, and at ₹0.20 a coin that is worth ₹2, an effective ~2%, not 10%. Coins are locked to the Scapia app and can only be redeemed for flights, hotels and buses at 5 coins = ₹1; there is no statement credit, bank transfer or airline-mile transfer, so the value evaporates if you don't book travel through Scapia. Lounge access carries a ₹20,000 preceding-month spend gate and there is zero international lounge access (0 visits/year), so it does not replace a Priority Pass card for overseas trips. Rent and wallet loads attract a 1% + GST convenience fee and earn nothing, and the RuPay variant earns only half the rate: 5 coins per ₹100 (effective ~1%) and only on transactions of ₹500 or more. There is no welcome bonus and no milestone rewards.
Bottom line
Scapia does one specific job well: zero forex markup on overseas spends plus unlimited domestic lounges, at no fee. The catch is redemption: your coins are worth something only if you book travel through the Scapia app. Pair it with a flexible everyday card and it earns its place in your wallet.

Who Is This Card For?
The occasional-to-frequent international traveller who wants a free, zero-forex card purely for overseas spends and a domestic lounge unlock: someone who already spends ₹20,000/month and is happy redeeming coins for flights and hotels inside the Scapia app. It works best as a dedicated travel/forex card paired with a stronger everyday rewards card.
Anyone wanting flexible rewards or high everyday cashback: coins are travel-only and locked to the Scapia app. If you redeem points for statement credit or transfer to airlines, this card cannot do it. If you carry it on RuPay you only earn ~1% (half the Visa rate) on ₹500+ transactions. Heavy rent or wallet-load users will pay a 1% convenience fee with no rewards.

Assumptions used in this estimate▸
- • Reward earnings shown at the conservative redemption tier (In-app travel: Flights, hotels, buses (Scapia app)).
- • Lounge value uses ~55% realistic utilization (most flyers don't fully clock the available visits). Per-visit anchors: ₹800 domestic, ₹1,500 international. Retail-equivalent (100% utilization) would be ₹9,600.
- • Earn assumes all spend lands in eligible categories. 2 categories are excluded: spend there earns ₹0.
